Inspired by his love of music, Karlo Wild painted Vermilion Dawn, 2022 while listening to 'I want you' by Marvin Gaye. The bright colours and reference to black culture are all typical of Karlo Wild, whose work aims to challenge the depiction of black people and evoke a sense of Joy.
